Erallo’s Sensor SmartNodes are wireless transceiver/receivers and micro-processors that are directly connected to a sensor data source, like one or more analog or digital sensors. Specialized embedded software running on the micro-processor is what makes the node “smart.” The software can initiate data collection based on pre-defined parameters, events or schedules. Processing can also be performed on the data sample before being transmitted to the next step in the process. SmartNodes also provide bi-directional data transmission at the sensor level – that is, the SmartNode is capable of receiving sensor control commands as well collecting and sending the sensor data. The operational control commands can be pre-programmed into the SmartNodes and can even be updated in real-time when issued from an external management environment, like a Cloud-based web interface.
